Responsibilities/skills:
• Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs for Haas VF-7, VF-9, and VF-10 machining centers.
• Set up, troubleshoot, and prove out CNC programs to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Read and interpret blueprints, CAD models, GD&T, and customer specifications.
• Select tooling, fixtures, feeds, and speeds to optimize machining performance and quality.
• Support prototype and production machining activities while meeting quality and delivery requirements.
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and program-related issues to minimize downtime and scrap.
• Verify machined parts using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, indicators, and height gages.
• Maintain organized program documentation, setup sheets, and tooling records.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and productivity.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to improve machining processes.
Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or CNC certification preferred.
• 3+ years of CNC programming experience required.
• Experience programming and operating Haas VF-7, VF-9, and VF-10 machining centers required.
• Proficiency with CAM software such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills.
• Experience machining metal and plastic components preferred.
• Strong understanding of tooling, machining processes, feeds/speeds, and setup optimization.
• Proficient with precision measuring equipment and inspection techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret CAD data and technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
