Director of Security

The Director of Security is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing enterprise-wide security programs that protect people, facilities, assets, and information. This role blends strategic planning with hands-on oversight to ensure a safe, secure, and compliant operating environment across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead organization-wide security strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements

  • Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses; design and implement mitigation strategies

  • Lead crisis management, emergency response, and business continuity planning

  • Direct investigations into security incidents, breaches, and policy violations, ensuring legal and ethical compliance

  • Implement and maintain security awareness and training programs across the organization

  • Evaluate, implement, and optimize security technologies such as video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, and integrated platforms

  • Partner with IT and cybersecurity teams to align physical and digital security initiatives

  • Prepare and present security metrics, reports, and risk briefings to executive leadership

  • Provide AWS DevOps support related to security and access management

  • Assist operational teams with AWS access and workflow optimization

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field

  • 5+ years of progressive security management experience, including at least 2 years in a senior leadership role

  • Professional security certification (CPP, PSP, or equivalent) preferred

  • Experience managing security operations across multiple locations

  • Demonstrated expertise in crisis management, emergency response, and business continuity planning
