About the role
We are seeking an Inside Sales Representative to support customers from our Kalamazoo, MI location in a fast-paced industrial and mechanical environment. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to build lasting business relationships.
The Inside Sales Representative will handle customer inquiries, prepare quotes, process orders, and serve as a key point of contact for accounts. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to understand technical products and applications.
Responsibilities
Respond to inbound customer calls and emails in a professional and timely manner.
Prepare quotations, process sales orders, and provide order updates.
Build strong relationships with customers and support long-term account growth.
Partner with internal teams to ensure accurate, timely service and delivery.
Learn technical product information and help match customer needs to the right solution.
Maintain accurate account and order information in internal systems.
Follow up on open quotes, customer requests, and service needs.
Qualifications
Prior inside sales, customer service, account support, or related experience preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude is required.
Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-up skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, on-site office environment Monday through Friday.
Experience in industrial, manufacturing, construction, or other technical environments is a plus.
