Responsibilities/skills:
- Develop and maintain master production schedules to support customer demand, inventory targets, and operational efficiency
- Balance production capacity, materials availability, labor, and resource utilization across manufacturing operations
- Perform capacity planning and analyze demand vs. supply to identify risks, constraints, and scheduling conflicts
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, purchasing, engineering, and leadership teams to ensure schedule alignment and execution
- Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) activities and help prioritize production when demand exceeds capacity
- Monitor schedule attainment, throughput, inventory levels, and other key performance metrics to drive continuous improvement
- Maintain scheduling parameters including lead times, cycle times, lot sizes, and routing data within ERP/MRP systems
- Identify and resolve material, production, and capacity issues while communicating solutions and recommendations to stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3+ years of experience in production planning, master scheduling, or capacity planning within a manufacturing environment
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or similar platforms
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Experience with capacity planning, inventory management, production scheduling, and supply chain coordination
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional manufacturing environments
- APICS CPIM certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred
- Lean manufacturing experience is a plus
