Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain LANs, WANs, physical/virtual servers, UPS, and network cabling
- Perform network address assignment and Cisco hardware upgrades
- Configure Cisco switches, routers, firewalls, and access points
- Design WAN/LAN infrastructure and network security (perimeter and edge firewalls)
- Monitor and maintain firewalls and intrusion detection systems
- Manage Cisco VoIP phone system and implement IP telephony solutions
- Implement network infrastructure projects
- Configure and manage network monitoring tools
- Provide high-level support for desktop technicians
- Respond to help requests and troubleshoot complex issues
- Participate in on-call rotation for network outages
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of networking experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
- Direct technical experience: Layer 2/3 switches, BGP, load balancing, traffic engineering, automatic failover, routing policy, Microsoft/Windows Server, firewalls, VPN, SSL remote access, LAN/WLAN configuration
- Scripting for automated deployment and software applications
- Project management and technical documentation for all staff levels
