OtterBase is working with a client who is looking for a Sr. Product Development Engineer to support the rapid growth of its aerospace programs. This is a high-visibility opportunity for an experienced product development engineer to take ownership of projects, work directly with customers, and help build a growing aerospace capability.
Responsibilities
- Lead product development projects from concept through launch
- Support high-velocity aerospace programs and new product development
- Conduct feasibility assessments, design reviews, and GD&T activities
- Interface directly with customers and support customer site visits as needed
- Own engineering workstreams and drive projects with minimal oversight
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams on assemblies and production processes
- Help develop and scale new aerospace capabilities
- Contribute to a fast-paced, high-volume engineering environment
Qualifications
- 8+ years of product development engineering experience
- Strong experience with design reviews, feasibility assessments, and GD&T
- CAD experience with a strong understanding of assemblies and manufacturing processes
- Aluminum experience strongly preferred, including machining or general processing
- U.S. Citizenship required due to ITAR requirements
- Aerospace experience preferred, but not required
- Familiarity with ITAR regulations
- Experience with PLM systems such as Teamcenter is a plus
- Experience with other metals, including steel and castings, will be considered
