Our client is seeking a talented and driven Engineering Manager to lead a team responsible for manufacturing custom machine components, change parts, and engineered equipment while maintaining quality, efficiency, and production timelines.
This is a hands-on leadership role within a growing industrial manufacturing environment focused on custom machinery and automated equipment solutions.
Responsibilities
- Meet regularly with plant leadership to review production schedules, priorities, tooling requirements, and project timelines
- Lead and support a team of engineers and shop personnel while remaining actively involved in day-to-day operations
- Review daily production schedules and assign work responsibilities to ensure manufacturing goals are achieved
- Organize and prioritize capital projects, aftermarket work, and warranty-related manufacturing activities
- Monitor workflow and production schedules to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met
- Conduct design reviews prior to releasing projects into production
- Ensure proper documentation and routing of engineering and manufacturing information
- Provide feedback regarding engineering, manufacturing, routing, or process-related issues
- Manage and approve engineering changes within the ERP system
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Partner with aftermarket parts, service, and operations teams to support customer needs and field installations
- Track material inventory and hardware required for manufacturing and assembly
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, service, and leadership teams
- Occasionally interact with customers during facility visits or field support activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline preferred
- 3+ years of engineering experience within a manufacturing environment
- Previous leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience preferred
- Experience with custom machinery, industrial equipment, automation systems, or packaging/manufacturing equipment strongly preferred
- Familiarity with machine changeovers, change parts, tooling, or format conversions highly preferred
- SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software experience required
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment
- Computer proficient
